Updating shader functions

Postby exerion » Fri Sep 15, 2017 6:25 am

Hi =D

When we update a shader function we have to open every shader that uses it and hit recompile. It almost negates the advantage of using a shader function =( Is there a way automate this process?

Thanks =D

Hello!

Yes, at the moment you must recompile every shader that uses the Shader Function you modify, apologies for the inconvenience, we're still looking into possible workarounds for this.

Thanks for your response. That's a bummer.

As our project grows in size it's becoming extremely frustrating that this feature doesn't exist. Any progress to report on?

Thanks :)

I would also like this feature, compiling all of them is such a pain.

Hello, we're still considering ways to simplify the process of updating shaders after altering a shader function, hopefully we'll be able to come up with a practical solution for this in the future.

Apologies for the inconvenience.
