Physically Based Shaders in AT2 [Preview]

Post by Ricardo Teixeira »

Hello everyone,

We are getting ready to rollout Dev Build 3 and we thought it would be cool to share a small preview.

Among many improvements, DB 3 will include support for physical based shaders. The workflow has been simplified; using Alloy, Skyshop or Lux, will be as easy as applying a material.

A small note; we are still putting the finishing touches on Alloy “Material Map” support.

We can't wait to get the new build in your hands, but for performance and quality sake, it ended up taking more time than we anticipated. Rest assured, we are working hard on AT2 and we have much more to come.

Was going to eat some cake for dessert after lunch but this is more than enough sweets for the day. Going to be hard to dev while fantasizing about the next release.
