Unity 2018.2 Mipmap Streaming and Unity 2018.1 support

Hi!
I was reading the unity beta forum and found Unity will support texture mipmap streaming in version 2018.2:

Given they still have to release 2018.1 and it's been already 6 months of betas, I'm not holding my breath for 2018.2 and I'm counting on Amplify Texture 2 for my game.
That being said, will Amplify Texture support Unity 2018.1 or will it remain a Unity 2017.3/2017.4-LTS plugin ?

Hey there!
AT2 currently supports Unity 2018.1, and we plan on continuing its development for future versions, and as soon as Unity leaves its Beta we'll release an official update for AT2.

Just to add to the last reply, the Unity system is more along the lines of what Unreal provides. In any case, we are aware of the Unity streaming additions and will definitely keep an eye out for anything we can use to improve AT2.
And yes, Unity 2018 support is not an issue

Hard to tell, we do a lot of native(c++) work on consoles, but we'll definitely keep a close eye on any related developments.
Somewhat related, the Unreal folks plan to add something along the lines of AT2 to their editor
