Any news or updates?

Hi there!
Is there any update for Amplify Textures 2 in the horizon, since the amplified standard shader is not working properly?
Also, I just want to get sure AT2 is still being developped as I'm planning to release on consoles as well as PC.
I'm far from finishing my game right now, I'm not in a hurry at all, but I would like to be SURE I can count on AT2 for streaming textures, since this can be a huge problem in the future if it is not ported to consoles.
If I can't rely on AT2, I would have to change the internal structures of my worlds, something I don't know if I will be able to do once the project is further down in development.
Simply put, I'm relying heavily on AT2 and I'm a little scared it could be deprecated, that's all. :P

Greetings,

Rest assured that AT2 won't be deprecated any time soon ;)

We recently added support for Unity 2017.x, and Xbox One and Android support (beta). The latest version should be available via our download system in a week or so.

Thanks!

Hi,

any news about the update? Also could you give us more information about what are you planning to add in the near future? Dx12/Vulkan support would be awesome.

Hey there,

Thank you for getting in touch, we hope all is going well with your project!

First off will be support for the new Scriptable Render Pipeline. We recently added support for Xbox One deployment and will continue to improve AT2 performance and flexibility until we fulfill all pending features.

Vulkan (experimental) is an interesting case but, unfortunately, we don't have any updates at the moment.

Did you run into any specific DX12 issues?

Thanks!

Hi,

thanks for that quick answer.

On dx12 the textures are not streamed. I am including image with how it looks like. Everything is black/white except trees and ground, but they are have non-stream materials and they are on different layer.

I see, my mistake, just confirmed that DX12 has not been made available yet, but it's definitely going to be available down the road.

Apologies for the inconvenience.
