Full-scene Motion Blur for Unity Pro

I don't understand the culling mask

Postby bdream » Wed Jul 15, 2015 9:35 pm

Hello,

I just bought Amplify Motion on the asset store. It seems really great, but I have an issue with the culling mask. The game I'm working on is a racing game. The camera is following the racer and a 3D canvas for the UI is attached to the camera. So the moving objects in the scenes (from a camera point of view) are the terrain, obstacles ... Here is the problem: I try to disable the motion blur on the 3D canvas but it does not work. I have the culling mask on the AM Effect script set to Terrain, Scenery, Cloud and NOT the UI. But the motion blur is still applied to the UI elements. Any idea of what I'm doing wrong? Any leads?

Many thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for using Amplify Motion, we really appreciate it.

We have a possible workaround for 3D Canvas related issues, I'm going to send you a sample project via email.

Talk to you soon, thanks!

Hi,
I also meet the same problem, but in my case, the objects ex. the vehicles are also blurred which I don't want them to
be blurred. Could you also send me the samples?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

We would be happy to help. The example mentioned earlier is not ideal for your particular case. Did you add the Amplify Motion Obj script to the asset that you want to exclude?

Thanks!

Hi, Yes I have add the Motion Obj script to the object(it has complex hierarchy mesh objects) to be excluded

As the first image: the ground is be blurred, but I don't want the bike to be blurred.
The 2nd image: I have added the Motion Obj script to the vehicle (add on the gameObject root).

Additionally, I want to ask is this problem ever a bug in past version and the newest version is fixed?

Hello,

Thank you for the additional information, we really appreciate it. Did you also add the Amplify Motion Obj script to the floor? What values are you currently using for the Amplify Motion Camera component? It seems to be a setup related issue but, it could also be an undiscovered bug.

Looking forward to your reply.

Did you add the Amplify Motion Obj component to the root(parent) of the object?

Yes, I added the component to the root of object.

PS. After I update the amplify motion to the newer version, the problem seems to be fixed.
thanks for your help :)
