SSAO asset advice. Amplify Occlusion for VR?

A couple of SSAO assets are on sale at the moment. Amplify Occlusion (https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/56739) definitely has plenty of pedigree and good recommendations but only the Volumetric Ambient Occlusion asset (https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/67927) appears to be VR ready (i.e. supports Single Pass Stereo Rendering)
I'm not predominantly intending to use it for VR but it's definitely a big consideration for me. Does anyone have any recommendations or experience of either?
or should I just ignore the sale, bite the bullet and buy HBAO (https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/54780)?
