Clarification on Polybrush compatibility

Postby kippernicus » Tue Aug 21, 2018 3:56 pm

I"m looking to purchase Amplify Shader and I was hoping to get some clarifibation about compatibility between Amplify's vertex color shaders and Polybrush's vertex painting feature.

Is it possible to use Polybrush's rgba-based painting feature to drive a vertex color-based terrain shader within Amplify? Additionally: if so, will the materials update on-the-fly as I modify that mask using Polybrush's paint tool or will the shader need to be recreated/refreshed? Thank you.

Hello, thank you for getting in touch and for your interest!

You are able to access vertex color through the Vertex Color node inside ASE.

Materials should also be updated on the fly as the mesh itself is updated.

Please let me know if you have any further questions, I'll be happy to elaborate, thanks!
