Billboard option dont work (it disappears!)

Hi, :)

After using the Billboard option under left panel (clicking the checkbox) My object starts to face the camera.
Thats good... But! After i rotate it few degrees it disappears.

Im using official transparent shader that comes with amplifyshader.

Only thing I changed is the billboard option.

How can I make this work?
Im using it on simple plane made in 3ds max. All normals are fine. Object have only oe polygon with one SG.
Cull Mode set to off dont help.
Using Billboard from node dont do much either.
Actualy when i Used torusknote generated by 3ds max it started to work. But I need to use it on plane.
Using ignore rotate or spherical/cylinder type dont help

UPDATE

So somehow it started to work. I didnt do anything much more. It just started to work another day. I didnt even closed editor. So thats wierd.

But now there is new bug. When I move one plane to another close enough then they both disappear. WHY!
One plane on the horizon its fine. Just put one another somewhere nearby and then they both are gone.

I just want to make some nice horizon clouds but those unexpected bugs are killing me.

Please help

Solution!

So all I had to do was to add custom Tag to disable batching.

This came with a price so use it wisely :D

Also it would be great feature if billboards were automaticly excluded from batching? Or I dont know.

Ayway. It works now :)

Apologies for the delay, we were away for Unite Berlin.

You are correct, billboards don't work with the Unity Batching system; unfortunately, it's not something that we can/should forcefully disable at the moment.

For efficient billboards, I recommend looking into instancing, or geometry shaders as soon as we support them. You could also try manually batching it by using additional scripts but this is beyond the scope of our editor, we won't be able to support you directly.
