Cutout transparency geometry results in weird see-through..

Postby werti100 » Thu Jan 31, 2019 2:00 am

Hi, please take a look at the following picture.

Image
As you can see, the leaf is see-through even though it's set to opaque and transparent cutout.
My goal is to have the leaf opaque and the space around transparent. What am I missing?
I tried with the standard unity shader in cutout mode and it worked fine. The shader in the pic is only a minimal reproduction of the issue, extracted out of a bigger shader.

Thanks,
Werti

Hello, thank you for getting in touch and for your support!

Setting your Blend Mode to Masked should provide the desired effect, please refer to the example below:

Do note that the relay node is being used merely to show a preview of the Alpha channel's content.

Hey there, thanks for responding!

I tried the preset masked but I still get the same issue. I verified my alpha mask, nothing wrong with it.
I noticed that this also happens with back faces, when removing the culling. It might be a problem with my project and its settings...

Are you able to replicate this is a new project with only ASE imported?

If you can send us a simple sample with the issue present to [email protected] we should be able to determine if you've stumbled upon some sort of issue.
