Thank you very much for the thorough reply. I will definitely open a thread if we encounter any issues.
Much appreciation for all the help!!
Best,
Hans

Safe to commit ASE shader functions to a repository?
We have a team of around 15, and only 2 seats for ASE.
I understand that shaders don't require the editor (the folder and all its contents) in order to build and compile correctly. But I was curious if shader functions, and the shaders that call them, also don't require the editor in order to build ...

Re: Compile times and custom nodes.
Thank you for the reply.
So we found out the problem for the compile times: disconnected from cache server. Having changed it to local, the compile times are just like Unity.
The VFX guy here however likes how Shader Forge does it, where you can still use the graph interface while it's compiling ...

Re: Compile times and custom nodes.
Hello Ricardo,
(By the way, this is Hans W., the one who's been contacting you directly recently)
Thank you very much for the response. I looked at the node API documentation you linked and it is completely sufficient. Thank you! I apologize for not finding it myself. The VFX guy here will ...

Compile times and custom nodes.
I looked around but couldn't find anything definitive. Apologies if this has been covered.
1) Is it relatively easy to create custom nodes via script? If so, could someone direct me to a tutorial, or an already existing node's script and just a few quick steps to get a custom node going? (Or ...

Re: Couple questions about ASE
@Amplify_Borba
Actually, sorry, one last question.
If I were to make the same shader, one in ASE and the other using standard shader files, would their performance be the same? Are there any benchmarks for shaders made with ASE vs equivalent shaders using standard Unity shader scripts?

Couple questions about ASE
Couldn't find definitive answers to any of them in my google searches. Apologies if they've been covered, but I'd very much appreciate links and or answers to the following questions.
1) Is there a single seat trial version of ASE?
(afaict, it looks like ASE is the only product you guys make ...
